- 250 g mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon capers
- 2 pcs gherkins
- 0.5 head red onion
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
Steps
- 1Rinse the capers thoroughly, drain them, then chop them very finely. Grate the gherkins finely or cut them into small cubes. Peel and finely chop the red onion.
- 2Measure the mayonnaise into a bowl, add the prepared capers, gherkins, and onion. Season with lemon juice, a little sugar, salt, and freshly ground pepper.
- 3Mix everything thoroughly, then refrigerate for at least half an hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Tip: If you desire a richer flavor, you can mix in a finely chopped hard-boiled egg or a teaspoon of mustard.
