Ingredients
- 450 g plain flour
- 280 ml lukewarm milk
- 15 g fresh yeast
- 50 g softened butter
- 10 g salt
- 15 g sugar
Steps
- 1Use a knife that doesn't tear the dough to cut the rolls. Pour milk into the mixing bowl, add crumbled yeast, then the rest of the ingredients. Use the dough hook of a stand mixer to make the dough smooth.
- 2Flour the work surface and turn out the dough. Form it into a ball, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour until it doubles in volume.
- 3Lightly roll out the risen dough with a rolling pin, then divide it into 12 equal parts. Form these into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spaced appropriately apart, as they will expand during baking.
- 4Cut the top of each piece crosswise with a sharp knife. Cover again with a clean kitchen towel and let rise for 20-30 minutes until doubled in size.
- 5Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- 6Brush the risen rolls with milk. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. Let the finished rolls cool.
