JÓkenyér started as a family business and has been working for 27 years to ensure that fresh, sourdough, additive-free bakery products are on the table of as many people as possible. They pay special attention to making their breads and bakery products from 100% natural ingredients. They believe that what is needed for good bread is the gift of nature and the heart and soul of the baker. That is why they avoid flavour enhancers, additives and colouring agents. To this day, they work with the same sourdough that they brought home from Baden-Baden almost 30 years ago with the aim of creating the foundations of the German "Brotkultur", a world heritage, in Hungary. In addition to traditional wheat sourdough, JÓkenyér also uses rye sourdough and sourdough made from wholemeal wheat and rye, for which the grain is freshly milled in their own mill. This ensures the freshness and flavour of their breads.
