Preparation and mixing the patty base
Put the leftover cooked rice into a large mixing bowl. If it is cold and clumped together, loosen it up with a fork.
Grate the Trappist cheese, crush the garlic cloves, and finely chop the fresh parsley.
Add the grated cheese, eggs, crushed garlic, parsley, sweet paprika, salt, and pepper to the rice. Mix thoroughly until you get a mixture that holds together well.
Chef's tip
If the leftover rice is too dry, add a tablespoon of sour cream to reach the ideal consistency.
You can also bake them in the oven: bake in an oven preheated to 200 °C on a baking sheet lined with baking paper for 20 minutes until crispy.
