Kifli Kukták

Kiadós, lélekmelengető magyaros klasszikus: fűszeres pörköltalapon pirított darált sertéshús, párolt rizs és zsenge zöldbab egymásra rétegezve, gazdag tojásos tejföllel leöntve és aranybarnára sütve.

Preparation method

Preparation and basics

1

Cook the green beans in boiling, lightly salted water for 6-8 minutes until tender-crisp, then drain well.

2

Cook the rice in twice its volume of lightly salted water until half-cooked (about 10-12 minutes), then remove from heat, cover, and let it swell slightly.

3

Finely dice the onion and crush the garlic. Melt the lard in a large pan and sauté the onion until translucent.

Chef's tip

Resting before slicing: After baking, let the casserole rest in the baking dish for 10-15 minutes so the layers set nicely and you can slice it into neat, even squares without it falling apart.

Serving idea: Serve with plenty of fresh, cold sour cream and crunchy pickled gherkins or homemade mixed pickles (csalamádé) for the perfect balance of flavours.
