Hagyományos magyaros ízvilágú, kiadós őszi egytálétel: vajpuhára előfőzött zellerszeletek és selymes burgonya fokhagymás-paprikás tejfölös öntettel rétegezve, aranyszínűre pirult trappista sajttal sütve. Laktató, mégis könnyed zöldséges főétel a hűvös őszi hétköznapokra és vasárnapi ebédekre.

Preparation method

Preparation

1

Preheat the oven to 190 °C (conventional top and bottom heat). Generously grease a medium-sized baking pan or ovenproof baking dish (approx. 20x30 cm) with half of the butter.

2

Peel the celeriac and potatoes. Slice both into even rounds or half-moons, about 4-5 mm thick.

3

Bring lightly salted water to a boil in a large pot. First, add the potato slices for 5 minutes, then add the celeriac slices and cook together for an additional 4-5 minutes until just half-tender. Drain and let steam off a little.

Chef's tip

The delicate flavor of celeriac is perfectly complemented by the potatoes and the garlic-paprika sour cream. If you like spicier dishes, you can also stir a pinch of hot paprika or smoked paprika into the sour cream base.

Can be made ahead: you can assemble the entire baking dish the evening before and store it in the refrigerator until baking the next day.
