
Green Beans with Bacon, Almonds, and Garlic

Clean the shallots and garlic. Cut the shallots into half-rings, slice 4 cloves of garlic, and crush 1 clove. Wash the green beans and trim the ends. In a pan, heat the oil with the butter and sauté the shallots until translucent. Add the sliced garlic, fry until golden, then remove and set aside.
Dice the bacon and fry until crispy in the same pan. Return the shallots and garlic, then add the green beans. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Stir in the honey mixed with white wine vinegar, chopped thyme, and crushed garlic. Sauté together for about 5-7 minutes until the beans are tender but still crisp inside.
Chef's tip
Do not overcook the green beans; they are best when they still have some bite and are crunchy.
