- 200 g Basmati rice
- 1.5 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 pinch Salt
Place the rice in a sieve and rinse it under running water 4-5 times until the water draining from the sieve is almost completely clear. Then, take a medium-sized pot and heat 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil in it over medium heat. Add the rinsed rice and mix thoroughly so that the oil coats every grain.
Next, salt the rice, pour in 300 ml of water, and bring the contents of the pot to a boil over high heat. Once it boils, reduce the heat to the lowest setting, cover the pot with a lid, and let the rice steam for 18-20 minutes.
After the specified time, remove the pot from the heat and let the rice rest for another 5-10 minutes under the lid. Finally, fluff the cooked rice with a fork and serve.
