Sonnberg Biofleisch is Austria's largest 100% organic butcher shop. The Sonnberg story is extraordinary: it is characterised by courage, ingenuity and, above all, honest animal husbandry, as well as the claim that animals are valuable food. Before Manfred Huber founded Sonnberg Biofleisch with Wolfgang Fürst in 2004, he worked in agriculture for years and was passionately interested in animals and their well-being. Animals were and still are valuable to him today, both as food and for maintaining the natural cycle. The name Sonnberg Biofleisch comes from the organic butcher's shop that Huber took over at the beginning of 2000 - its headquarters were at Sonnbergplatz in Vienna's 19th district.
