Preheat the contact grill to the highest setting. If you don't have a grill, preheat the oven to 230 °C.

Spread one slice of bread with Dijon mustard. Layer the turkey breast ham, thinly sliced apple, and Gouda cheese on top, then cover with the other slice of bread.

Place the sandwich in the grill (or oven) and cook for 4–5 minutes until the bread is golden brown and crispy (in the oven at 220–230 °C for approx. 6–7 minutes).
Chef's tip
Try it with different apple varieties: the tart Granny Smith provides a great contrast to the creamy cheese.
