Preparation method
First, prepare the roasted chicken breast. Preheat the oven to 180–185 °C and prepare an oven-safe pan. Clean the chicken breast, season with salt and pepper, then sear it in the pan with 3 tablespoons of heated olive oil for 4–5 minutes per side over medium heat. Afterward, transfer the pan to the oven and roast for another 4–6 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare a small baking tray, butter the toast bread slices, and place them on the tray.
When the chicken has been roasting in the oven for 4–6 minutes, place the tray with the bread next to it and bake together for another 6–7 minutes. In the meantime, finely grate the cheddar cheese, slice the tomatoes into thin rings, and tear the lettuce into larger pieces.
Chef's tip
For a classic look, serve the sandwiches cut diagonally in half, secured with toothpicks.
