Ingredients
- 20 g peeled garlic
- 200 g Edam cheese (block)
- 400 g mayonnaise
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of freshly ground pepper
Steps
- 1Grate the Edam cheese on a fine grater and place it in a bowl.
- 2Cut the peeled garlic cloves in half lengthwise and remove the green germ in the middle (this can cause an unpleasant burning sensation in the stomach). Then grate the garlic on a fine grater or use a garlic press and add it to the cheese.
- 3Add the mayonnaise and mix thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then mix again.
- 4Place the prepared spread in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes for the flavors to meld. Serve with fresh baguette or toast.
