Ingredients

  • 80 g sardines in their own juice (boneless)
  • 1 pc shallot (finely chopped)
  • 100 g low-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 clove garlic (pressed)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch chili flakes (optional)

    Drain the sardines, place them in a bowl, and mash with a fork.

    Add the finely chopped shallot, low-fat cottage cheese, lime juice, Dijon mustard, dried thyme, and pressed garlic.

    Season with a pinch of salt and pepper, then mix thoroughly. If you like it spicy, add a little chili flakes.

    Store the prepared spread in the refrigerator and consume within 3 days. Serve with fresh bread or toast.
