Alnatura Organic Mustard, Medium Spicy
This organic mustard is the perfect accompaniment to sausages, steaks and other grilled dishes; the freshly ground mustard seeds provide the perfect spiciness. Alnatura's medium-hot mustard can also be used in fine dining kitchens, for example to flavour sauces and dips.

Usage - Cabbage salad with caramelised carrots

Ingredients
For 2 people
- 300 g kale
- 1 pinch of salt (0.05 g)
- 2 medium carrots (160 g)
- 1 tablespoon mixed peanut butter (25 g)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (11 ml)
- 1 teaspoon mustard (5 g)
- 180 grams goat cheese
- 50 g pecans
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil (10 ml)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (20 ml)
Preparation
- Wash and prepare the vegetables
Wash the kale, remove the thick veins from the leaves, tear the leaves into small pieces, salt and knead by hand. Peel, wash and thinly slice the carrots. - Make the dressing and dice the goat cheese
For the dressing, mix the peanut butter, vinegar and mustard, season with salt and add to the kale. Dice the goat cheese and add to the mixture. - Toast the pecans
Roughly chop the pecans and toast in a non-stick pan over a high heat for 5 minutes, then set aside. - Fry the carrots and assemble the salad
Fry the carrot sticks in oil for 5 minutes. Reduce the heat slightly, pour the maple syrup over the carrots and allow to caramelise. Garnish with walnuts and carrots and serve.
