INGREDIENTS
- 7 pcs chicken upper thigh
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 red onion
- 2 dl ketchup
- 2 tsp mustard
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1.5 dl broth
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 coffee spoon ground mixed peppercorns
PREPARATION
- 1Dice the red onion finely, grate the garlic, and mix them with the other ingredients in a cast iron pot (if you don't have one, a baking tray or a high-sided oven-safe dish or pan can be used).
- 2Toss the chicken thighs in the sauce, cover, and bake in a preheated oven at 150 degrees Celsius for about 3 hours until cooked through.
- 3Baking time may vary depending on the oven and the size of the thighs. When the sauce is thick and the meat falls off the bone, it's ready.
- 4Remove the skin and bones from the cooked thighs, then shred the meat with two forks.
- 5Serve to taste in fresh buns or on slices of bread, with salad.
- 6Sliced red apple and potato chips make a good crunchy accompaniment.
