A hagyományos magyar tepsis fogások új kedvence: egyenletesen bevagdosott, sűrűn irdalt burgonyaszemek füstölt szalonnával, fokhagymás sertészsírral és édes szegedi pirospaprikával tepsiben pirosra sütve. Kívül ellenállhatatlanul ropogós, belül puha és szaftos, hideg tejföllel tálalva.

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 200 °C (top-and-bottom heat). Thoroughly wash, brush, or peel the medium-sized potatoes. Place a potato between the handles of two wooden spoons (so the knife won't cut all the way through), then slice it finely at 2–3 mm intervals, keeping the bottom intact (accordion shape).
Cut the smoked bacon into thin small slices that fit into the cuts of the potatoes. Finely crush the garlic.
Assembly and baking
In a small saucepan, melt the lard, then stir in the crushed garlic, sweet paprika, salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
Chef's tip
The wooden spoon trick is the simplest way to make sure you don't accidentally cut all the way through the potato while slicing.
If you want an even richer flavor, you can sprinkle grated Trappist cheese on top of the Hasselback potatoes during the last 5 minutes of baking.
