Preparation method
Ingredients overview
- 350 g pork tenderloin
- 3 tablespoons Char Siu sauce (or Hoisin sauce)
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
Rub the pork tenderloin thoroughly with a mixture of oyster sauce and 3 tablespoons of Char Siu sauce. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, but for best results, leave it in the refrigerator overnight.
Preheat the oven to 190 °C. Place the marinated meat on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes. Then flip the meat and bake for another 20 minutes, until it develops a beautiful caramelized crust.
At the end of baking, brush the meat with a little more Char Siu sauce, turn off the oven, and let the meat rest for a few minutes in the warm oven before slicing.
Chef's tip
Serve the sliced meat with noodles cooked in hot chicken broth, and sprinkle with fresh spring onions. This is how you make a real Asian Char Siu noodle soup!
