Preparation method

Prepare the glass: moisten the rim of a (preferably martini) glass with a lemon slice, then dip it in granulated sugar to create a nice sugar rim.

Fill the shaker with ice, then pour in the cognac (or brandy), orange liqueur, and freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Shake thoroughly for about 15-20 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosted.

Chef's tip

For the best result, use quality cognac and genuine orange liqueur (e.g., Cointreau or Triple Sec).

It's worth chilling the glass before garnishing, so the cocktail stays refreshing longer.
