We chose this breed because of its strengths: it has excellent slaughter value and its meat quality (marbled, crumbly) can compete with that of large beef breeds. The Hungarian spotted breed is at home here, so it adapts very well to local conditions. We slaughter the heifers at a specific age, which is also a decisive factor in the quality of beef. The meat of a young heifer cannot be compared to that of an old dairy cow. Heifer meat is easy to prepare and has a much richer flavour. Chefs will also have more success in the kitchen, as it is difficult to prepare badly. You can experiment with heifer meat with confidence.
