Peperlini - mini paprika

Peperlini is a trio of mini sweet peppers in three different colours: yellow, red and orange. It is a perfect mix, you will not be able to choose just one, you will want to eat them all. Three different varieties of peppers that are compatible with each other and, combined in the right proportions, create a unique and inimitable mix. Vittoria, Acate, Santa Croce Camerina, in south-eastern Sicily; grown exclusively in soil, in greenhouses, using the most efficient traditional cultivation techniques.

Curiosity

Regardless of their colour, they are very rich in water and vitamin C. The potassium concentration is very high, while the sodium concentration is very low, which gives them natural diuretic properties. They are light, healthy and, unlike other peppers, they do not burden digestion, so they can also be eaten raw.

They are harvested by hand when the fruit is fully ripe; within 4 hours of harvesting they are delivered to the packaging plant, where they are checked and evaluated upon receipt, and processed strictly by hand, with care, in packaging made from recycled material (Rpet) or easily recyclable. 

Serving suggestion

Peperlini and fresh rocket salad

Ingredients for 2 people 

• 4 mini Peperlini® peppers
• 80 g rocket
• extra virgin olive oil
• lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of pine nuts
• 1 teaspoon of acacia honey
• salt
• black pepper

Wash the rocket, dry it and put it in a salad bowl! Wash the mini peppers, dry them and cut them into rings, remove the ends and seeds! Mix the rocket and mini peppers in a salad bowl. Make the dressing by mixing 3 tablespoons of oil, the lemon juice, the honey, the salt and the pepper. Toast the pine nuts in a non-stick pan, pour them onto the salad, garnish with the pine nuts and serve!
