Ingredients
- 80 g sardines in their own juice (boneless)
- 1 pc shallot (finely chopped)
- 100 g low-fat cottage cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- 1 clove garlic (pressed)
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- 1 pinch chili flakes (optional)
Steps
- 1Drain the sardines, place them in a bowl, and mash with a fork.
- 2Add the finely chopped shallot, low-fat cottage cheese, lime juice, Dijon mustard, dried thyme, and pressed garlic.
- 3Season with a pinch of salt and pepper, then mix thoroughly. If you like it spicy, add a little chili flakes.
- 4Store the prepared spread in the refrigerator and consume within 3 days. Serve with fresh bread or toast.
