Kifli Kukták

Hagyományos magyaros ízvilágú, sűrű és szaftos céklapörkölt édes pirospaprikával és köménnyel, frissen szaggatott házi nokedlivel, hűs tejföllel és friss petrezselyemmel tálalva.

Preparation method

Preparing the stew base and beetroot

1

Thoroughly wash the beetroot, peel it, and cut it into even cubes of approx. 1.5 cm. Finely chop the onion and garlic, and dice the Hungarian wax pepper and tomatoes into small pieces.

2

Heat the sunflower oil in a deep, heavy-bottomed pot, add the finely chopped onion, and sauté over medium heat until golden.

3

Add the diced Hungarian wax pepper, tomatoes, and minced garlic. Sauté together for a few minutes until the vegetables release their juices and form a rich, aromatic stew base.

Chef's tip

The natural sweetness of the beetroot is beautifully balanced by the traditional Hungarian stew base and the cool, creamy acidity of the sour cream.

Always mix the nokedli dough right before dropping it into the water; this guarantees that the cooked dumplings will turn out soft and airy.
