October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month worldwide, and in this spirit, the Pink Mix salad and vegetable blend was created, with which Eisberg Hungary Kft. supports the work of the Mellrákinfo Egyesület. The Association's goal is to draw the attention of as many women (and men) as possible to the importance of screening, as breast cancer detected in time is 95 percent curable.

After the "inner beauty" of the salad mix, let's also examine its "outer appearance": the packaging received the color of the fight against breast cancer, hope, and awareness – pink! They investigated where the enrichment of pink with new meanings originated. Susan G. Komen is one of the largest non-profit organizations in the United States. Nancy G. Brinker founded it in memory of her sister who died of breast cancer, to whom she promised to do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. The history of the pink ribbon is also closely intertwined with the foundation's life. The first Komen Race for the Cure® logo was an abstract female runner outlined with a pink ribbon, and this was used from the mid-80s to the early 90s. Today, any general pink ribbon can be used to represent the fight against breast cancer, while the Komen "running ribbon" can only be used by the Susan G. Komen foundation. Since the 90s, therefore, pink has been enriched with new meanings, including hope and awareness.

Suggested use

Ready-to-eat, washed product. No further washing required. Can be consumed fresh on its own, or seasoned with spices and dressings.

Producer information

The diversity of nature is also reflected in Eisberg salad mixes. They are mostly grown outdoors using gentle methods by their long-standing partners.
