BIO Lamb's Lettuce, packaged
Corn salad, also known as lamb's lettuce or field salad, does not have a particularly strong taste, making it a good addition to various salads. It has an outstanding vitamin content and numerous beneficial physiological effects. It was probably consumed as early as the Neolithic period, and was particularly popular in the Alps region of Europe. Later, medieval herbals often mentioned it as a medicinal plant, and according to legends, the Sun King (Louis XIV) was also very fond of it. Its cultivation only began in the 20th century. Today, France accounts for about three-quarters of the world's production, but it is also cultivated in significant areas in the Netherlands and Italy.

Suggested use
Its succulent, juicy young leaves have a nutty aroma, which is enhanced by a mustard dressing. It pairs well with fresh mixed winter salads, as well as cheeses, ham, and can also be used to flavour sauces.
Producer information
They have been growing apples in South Tyrol since the beginning. For several years now, they have also been cultivating innovative varieties and products in Eraclea, near Venice, on a 125-hectare area: yellow Kiwi Dorì®, red-fleshed apple varieties, Crimson Snow ®, Isaaq ®, Pink Lady ®, and the latest colourful clones of the most important apple varieties.
In South Tyrol, the most modern apple varieties are produced using modern methods. They have been running their companies in Lana and Prissiano for generations. Their farm in Lana also offers holiday apartments at Weinsepphof Residence Appartements.
