Kifli Kukták

Omlós sertéskaraj szeletek aranybarnára sült hagymakarikákkal és fűszeres burgonyával, egyetlen tepsiben sütve. Hagyományos, szaftos magyaros egytálétel a hétköznapokra vagy a vasárnapi asztalra.

Preparation method

Preparation

1

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (conventional top and bottom heat). Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into thicker wedges or slices. Peel the onions and cut them into thicker rings. Crush the garlic cloves.

2

Slice the pork loin into 4 nice, even chops (if not using pre-sliced), then score the edges slightly so they do not curl up during roasting. Tenderize gently, then season both sides with salt and pepper.

Assembly and baking

1

Grease a deep baking sheet or baking dish with 1 tablespoon of pork lard. Toss the potato wedges with the crushed garlic, remaining salt, black pepper, sweet paprika, and ground caraway, then spread evenly over the bottom of the pan.

Chef's tip

For an even juicier result, you can quickly sear the pork chops in a pan over high heat for 30 seconds per side before placing them on the bed of potatoes.

Classic Hungarian pickles—pickled gherkins, apple peppers, or csalamádé—perfectly balance the sweetness of the roasted onions and the rich flavor of the meat.
