Kifli Kukták

Autentikus thai street food klasszikus: kívül extra ropogós panko bundában sült, belül szaftos és fűszeres garnélapogácsák gőzölgő jázmin rizzsel, édes chilimártással és friss uborkával. Lenyűgöző 25 perces ázsiai fogás.

Preparation method

Preparing the jasmine rice and shrimp mixture

1

Rinse the jasmine rice in cold water, then simmer in twice the amount of lightly salted water until tender, about 12-15 minutes. Remove from heat and keep covered to stay warm.

2

Rinse the shrimp thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels. Finely process two-thirds of the shrimp in a food processor, and roughly chop the remaining one-third into small pieces with a knife – this ensures the cakes stay juicy with a nice bite.

3

In a mixing bowl, combine the minced and chopped shrimp, minced garlic, finely chopped fresh coriander, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and lightly beaten egg. Mix thoroughly and work together until you get a sticky, shapeable mixture.

Chef's tip

The secret to the authentic crispy Thai texture is panko breadcrumbs, which do not absorb excess oil, keeping the crust extra crispy while the shrimp meat remains juicy and tender inside.

For an even fresher flavor, squeeze a few drops of lime juice directly onto the hot shrimp cakes just before eating.
