Grown in Lakitelek by farmer Zoltán Sváb Kovács for Szövetség az Élő Tiszáért Egyesület, these Hungarian Teréz table grapes are a cross between Eger 2 and Olimpia. They have thick skin, crunchy flesh, and a pleasant, mild flavor. Best kept in a cool, dry place, this packaged 500 g batch comes with the Fresh from the farm badge.

Description
Teréz is a Hungarian grape variety, bred in Kecskemét-Katonatelep in 1970 by crossing the Eger 2 and Olimpia varieties. Its skin is thick and chewy, but its flesh is crispy, pleasantly flavoured, not too strong in taste.

The Association for the Living Tisza (SZÖVET) was founded on 29 June 2006 in Nagykörű, and was registered by the court in March 2007. The membership of 38 at the time of foundation has now increased to 70 (120 including the winners of the Mikroalap tender). Its members primarily come from the area of its 7 Local Action Groups (KACS). SZÖVET has action groups operating in Bereg, Bodrogköz, the Kesznyéten Landscape Protection Area, the Borsodi Mezőség, Nagykörű and its surroundings, the Nagy-Sárrét (Túrkeve and its surroundings) and the Kis-Sárrét (Biharugra and its surroundings). The Action Groups are in daily contact with local governments, farmers and civil organisations. The Association aims to promote farming practices that implement the sustainable coexistence of humans and rivers: they correspond to the characteristics of the landscapes, increase the rich diversity of life and promote the prosperity of the people living in the landscape. The aim of their association is to improve the livelihood of those living in the Tisza River basin, to increase flood and environmental safety, to preserve and increase the ecological values of the Tisza, so that the inhabitants of this region can live in good quality of life and safety.
