Description
Originally from China, the currently cultivated varieties originate from Italy, Russia, China, the USA and Canada. Peach cultivation in Hungary began in the 16th century, but at that time it was only grown in aristocratic gardens and almost exclusively in front of south-facing walls. Its fruit was considered a precious delicacy. Excellent preserves, jams and sauces can be made from peaches, and they are also excellent for marinating, yet we mostly consume them fresh. Due to its medium pectin content, thicker jam or preserves can only be made with longer cooking time, by adding other high-pectin fruits or gelling agents.

Usage
It is primarily suitable for fresh consumption, and it is the variety with the best properties during its ripening period.
