The parsnip or white carrot is conical in shape at the petiole and has a smooth surface. Although its nutritional value is not as high as that of parsnips, its characteristic spicy flavour makes it a very popular ingredient.

Producer information

Their organic farm is located in a small village, Kölcse, in the heart of the Szatmár region, in an untouched, less discovered natural environment.
The Szatmár region is often referred to as the "orchard of Hungary", which is no wonder, as the area is very famous for the apples, plums, walnuts and sour cherries produced here. There are many nature reserves in their area, which provide an ideal terrain for organic farming. The beginnings of the enterprise date back to 1997. At that time, they started to grow vegetables on a small area as a family farm. The initial one-hectare area soon expanded, and today they grow vegetables and fruits on an area of about 50 hectares. They gradually converted their areas to organic farming. From that time on, they have not used fertilizers, synthetic pesticides or herbicides on their farm. Environmental awareness and the protection of our natural environment play a primary role in the life of their farm.
