Ripe, freshly picked fruits, flown in directly from Colombia!

The passion fruit is native to South America, but is also grown in many other places, as the fruit of this tropical plant is very tasty.

The fruit is the size of a goose egg, round, egg-shaped or pear-shaped.
The outer skin is quite hard, at least 3 mm thick, smooth and shiny. Inside, there are jelly-like seeds similar to passion fruit. The fruit is popular because of its distinctive, sour-aromatic taste.

Use

Cut the outer skin until you see the inner jelly-like pulp. Then cut it in half and spoon out the inside.  
It is used similarly to passion fruit. Thus, it can be used in any pudding, dessert, fruit salad.

Storage

Store in a dry, cool place, between 10-12 °C.
