What makes this large ice cube melt slowly? 

The answer lies in its crystal clarity, shape, and large size. Each piece is carefully prepared and cut to size to ensure maximum enjoyment of your drink. During preparation, all impurities are removed from the ice, thus avoiding unwanted flavors and making the ice cube clear and transparent.

Some suggestions for perfect use:

• The 4.5*4.5*4.5cm ice cube is recommended for whiskey glasses smaller than average, for making cocktails, or simply for enjoying your favorite drink neat.
• Take the ice cube out of the freezer and let it temper at room temperature for 5-6 minutes. As soon as its surface starts to frost, pour your desired drink over it. This way, the ice will remain completely transparent and crack-free.
• If you want the ice to crack visibly, do not let it temper and use it immediately.
• The average melting time for hand-cut ice can be up to 20-40 minutes compared to traditional ice cubes, so you can enjoy several drinks with just one piece.

The craft ice story:

Their family business started in 2018 with a sudden idea, while they were still university students. What began as a thesis topic quickly became a part of their lives and their passion: ice making. Initially, they launched their business for Budapest's prominent bars, restaurants, and hotels, but from 2021, they want to make their products available to everyone. They believe that every moment deserves outstanding quality, not only in the drink but also in the ice that accompanies it. Thanks to their technology, in addition to achieving the perfect temperature, the rate of melting can be minimized.

The technology

The starting point is a 150kg crystal-clear ice block, made from multi-purified drinking water using controlled freezing, expelling all impurities. The block is then processed by hand and cut into various sizes of regular cubes, prisms, and spheres.

Storage

At temperatures below -18°C. Refreezing after melting is not recommended!
