Rye bread is made from 100% natural ingredients, i.e. without the use of flavour enhancers, additives or colouring agents, or pre-prepared flour mixtures, like all JÓkenyér products. Flour milled from rye contains less fat and carbohydrates, and more minerals, than lighter-coloured wheat flour. It is rich in fibre, thus having a beneficial physiological effect on the human body. Frequent consumption has a favourable effect on bowel function and reduces cholesterol levels. We use sourdough made from freshly milled wholemeal rye flour in our own mill for the dough, and we use a long dough-making process, because the longer the time spent on the bread, the more the flavours come together and the longer the bread stays fresh and enjoyable. We recommend our rye bread to anyone who chooses a health-conscious lifestyle! It is also available in sliced and packaged form for your convenience.

JÓkenyér started as a family business and has been working for 27 years to ensure that fresh, sourdough, additive-free bakery products are on as many tables as possible. They pay special attention to making their breads and bakery products from 100% natural ingredients. They believe that what is needed for good bread is the gift of nature and the heart and soul of the baker. That is why they avoid flavour enhancers, additives and colouring agents. To this day, they work with the same sourdough that they brought home from Baden-Baden almost 30 years ago with the aim of creating the foundations of the German "Brotkultur", a world heritage, in Hungary. In addition to traditional wheat sourdough, JÓkenyér also uses rye sourdough and sourdough made from wholemeal wheat and rye, for which they mill the grain freshly in their own mill. This ensures the freshness and flavour of their breads.
