Some tips for perfect use:
- This size of ice sphere can be used with any glass; for one drink, it's worth using several pieces, or even filling the entire glass with ice.
- It is also suitable for chilling drinks, as this is the most stylish way to cool a bottle of champagne or any other beverage. Pour as much ice as possible around the bottle, add a little cold water, and the desired temperature will be reached in 20-30 minutes.
- After removing from the freezer, gently tap the contents of the bag against a clean surface before use, or if you have one handy, gently hit the bag with a rolling pin. The pieces may freeze together in the freezer, so they can be easily separated this way.
The artisan ice story:
Their family business started in 2018 with a sudden idea, while they were still university students. What began as a thesis topic quickly became a part of their lives and their passion: ice making. Initially, they launched their business for Budapest's prominent bars, restaurants, and hotels, but from 2021, they want to make their products available to everyone. They believe that every moment deserves outstanding quality, not only in drinks but also in the ice that accompanies them. Thanks to the technology, in addition to achieving the perfect temperature, the rate of melting can be minimized.
The technology
The starting point is a 150kg crystal clear ice block, which is made from multi-purified drinking water using controlled freezing, expelling all impurities. The block is then processed by hand and cut into various sizes of regular cubes, rods, and spheres.
Storage
Store below -18°C. Not recommended to refreeze after thawing!
