A stunning houseplant, which is worth growing in our homes not only because of its elegant appearance, but also because of its easy maintenance.
Placement
The placement of the plant is of paramount importance in terms of the care of the Chinese Evergreen. The plant likes a bright, but from direct sunlight protected place, a typical "behind the curtain plant". In the rooms it is advisable to choose an area where the plant receives adequate light, but is not excessively exposed to the harmful rays of the sun.
Temperature
Keep the Chinese Evergreen at room temperature, preferably in a place where the temperature does not drop below 18°C. It is important that the plant is not exposed to sudden temperature changes or draughts, as it can react sensitively to them.
Watering
When watering, make sure that the soil is always moist, but not waterlogged. The Chinese Evergreen likes a humid environment, but stagnant water can be harmful to its roots. Reduce the amount of watering in winter and watch for the soil to dry.
Fertilization
The Chinese Evergreen needs added nutrients for proper growth, so give it liquid fertilizer from spring to autumn, weekly or bi-weekly. In winter, let the plant rest, reduce the frequency of fertilization or leave it out completely.
