Common skin problems in childhood (dry skin, rashes)
The skin of newborns is still thin, fragile, and absorption through the skin is increased. Their skin is beautiful even without special care. In the initial period, it is essential to avoid over-care.
During infancy and early childhood, their bodies, immune systems, and skin continuously develop and become more resistant. It is important to observe your child's skin and care for it according to its current condition.
Most parents encounter some skin problems during their child's development, and it can also happen that due to inherited tendencies, allergies, food intolerances, or other reasons, the child's skin requires regular special care. In this blog post, dryness and various rashes will be highlighted.
Dry Skin
How to care for your child's skin in case of dryness?
Especially during the autumn-winter months, the cold outdoor air and the heating result in lower humidity, dry air indoors, which dries out the skin.
Long baths can further worsen the situation, so it is recommended to opt for a quick warm shower instead, which protects the skin's surface lipid layer.
Choosing the right bathing product is also of great importance. It is advisable to avoid using soaps, especially under the age of 1, as they are alkaline and can disrupt the skin's normal pH. Instead, choose a cleanser that is acidic, contains gentle cleansing surfactants, and has a high oil content.

After bathing, more intensive daily care may be needed. A natural body lotion rich in plant oils (apricot, almond) and butters (shea butter, cocoa butter) is perfect for this. Incorporating a pleasantly textured, easily and well-absorbed body lotion with natural ingredients into your daily skincare routine will certainly be appreciated by your skin, and the results will be visibly noticeable.
During this period, attention should also be paid to facial care, as this is the area that cannot be covered with clothing from the cold, windy weather, and without care, irritation often develops. In the winter period, a sufficiently nourishing and protective face cream rich in plant oils and butters is important. This is crucial because in extreme cold, the water content of the cream can "freeze" on the facial skin, thus having a drying effect.

Rashes
Newborn Skin Rash
In the days following birth, acne-like rashes often appear primarily on the faces of newborns. These are harmless and disappear without treatment. Do not squeeze or pick at them, as this can lead to infection.
Heat Rash
Heat rash can develop not only in summer but also in winter due to overdressing. In warm, humid environments, sweat cannot be expelled, and red blisters appear. It most commonly occurs on the face and under the diaper area, but can also appear in folds, on the back, and chest.
Usually, the symptoms disappear with the cessation of the humid, warm environment, but it can become infected, so attention is needed!
Make sure not to overdress your child, dress them in light, well-ventilated clothing
After bathing, thoroughly dry their skin with a soft towel, paying special attention to the folds
