Veresi Strawberry 

Veresi Szamóca is an exemplary response to the ToBRFV virus and the crisis caused by rising energy prices in tomato production. As a pioneer, "Veresi Szamóca" appeared in Hungary in the greenhouses of the well-known Veresi Paradicsom Kft., where, in addition to tomatoes, sweet and healthy strawberries will now be grown on 2 hectares throughout the winter using an innovative, hydroponic system. Strawberry growing has a long tradition in Veresegyház, but now, with Veresi Szamóca, it has been successfully integrated into cutting-edge technology. Known colloquially as 'strawberry' or 'ground (or garden) strawberry', the fruit is the juicy, red fruit of the Fragaria genus of the rose family.

Interesting fact

Its fruit has a high vitamin C content (60 mg per 100 g of fruit) and also contains minerals: calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, manganese, and magnesium.

At the end of 2018, Veresi Paradicsom Kft. opened Hungary's most modern greenhouse with artificial supplementary lighting. They are the first in Hungary to be able to grow high-quality, high-intrinsic value tomatoes every day of the year under controlled conditions.
