Apple and banana are the first fruit flavours in the first phase of getting used to solid foods, so this toothpaste was made with this flavour for babies over 6 months of age, even if they are not yet 1 year old.

Dental benefits of Xylitol:

Xylitol is a natural sweetener found in many plants, also known as birch sugar. It contains 40% fewer calories than sugar derived from sugar beets.

Strawberry flavoured fluoride-free toothpaste can also be tried after 12 months of age. Since the only difference between the two toothpastes is the flavouring, the child can use the apple-banana flavoured fluoride-free toothpaste for as long as they like, whichever flavour they prefer during the twice-daily brushing.

Use

How to get your baby used to brushing their teeth?: You can start getting your baby used to brushing their teeth from 6-8 months of age, once a day at first. A good time for this could be before bathing or in the morning after the first feeding. Lay the baby down or hold them in your lap. Squeeze a small amount onto the toothbrush. Clean the gums and the first teeth with massaging movements. Massaging the baby's gums can also be a pleasant sensation for them, as they are in the teething period. If the baby turns their head away or closes their mouth, stop brushing their teeth, wait until the baby opens their mouth again. Talk to them, tell them stories, etc. in the meantime. Don't force brushing their teeth. You will probably have to stop and start several times, as the baby will move around, turn their head away, etc., but the whole procedure should not take more than 3 minutes. When the child is 1-1.5 years old, get them used to brushing their teeth twice or three times a day, in the morning and in the evening, and if possible after lunch as well. You should also brush your teeth often in the presence of your child and tell them what you are doing and enjoy your clean teeth together. The child will learn to brush their teeth by imitating you.
The toothpaste can be swallowed, it does not pose a health risk to the child.
