We thought that with the upcoming Women's Day, we would take you behind the scenes a bit and introduce you to charming superheroines from both fronts, the procurement and supplier sides alike. We caught a few words with some Kifli colleagues to tell us what and who they are most proud of in their work.
 

Who gives us our daily bread

– I am grateful to be responsible for the bakery and confectionery selection, as Kifli is more than just kifli, so I strive to continuously find and provide the best for our customers – enthuses Bujdos Fanni. – To this end, in addition to everyday bakery products, excellent natural sourdough breads and pastries are also available. I consider it a professional success to attract renowned companies to Kifli, such as the prestigious Gerbeaud Confectionery or the super trendy The Box Donut, and it is a particular joy for me that successful female leaders are at the helm. I am proud to work at such a rapidly growing, innovative company that challenges us every day, and it is exciting to see how the team behind it continuously overcomes these obstacles to the best of their ability. My team is fantastic: not only because of the wide selection and flexible execution of daily improvised tasks, but also because of the group dynamics and cohesion.
 

Who is responsible for quality drinking

– As the category manager for alcoholic beverages, it is my passion that Kifli customers can choose from a quality selection of drinks and encounter favorable offers week after week – says Rosta Anna. – I am delighted to contribute in this way to festive moments, occasions spent with loved ones, or even quality me-time with a pleasant drink. My goal is also that no one should miss out on the "party," so more and more free (alcohol-free, vegan, sugar-free, gluten-free, etc.) drinks will be available on the site.
 

A young Padawan who is inspired

I am still a very beginner junior buyer, but I am most proud of how much experience I have gained and how much I have learned so far – says Farkas Anna with humility in her voice. – This is largely thanks to my direct manager, Zsófi, who, in addition to being a mother, performs 110% in her work. It is inspiring to learn from such female role models day by day. Recently, there are three of us women in my direct team – Zsófi, Erika, and I – and I am curious to see how we can strengthen each other as buyers.
 

Who pays attention to those with food sensitivities

– I am Lakatos Erika, and I am responsible for the Special, Frozen, and Refillable categories at Kifli, and our main goal is that those following special diets do not experience their sensitivities as a disadvantage – says our aforementioned buyer. – Within the frozen category, I strive to list as many time and energy-saving, health-conscious, high-quality, semi-finished, and finished products as possible, and within the Refillable category, I am proud of strengthening environmental awareness and supporting goods sourced by Hungarian producers in my work. To mention a few examples, we receive a wide selection from the free line from Labát Anita, commercial director of Naturtrade Hungary Kft., and we receive numerous assistance in developing new Szafi products (both special and frozen lines) from Ipits Anita, one of the new managing owners of Szafi Products Kft. & Szafi Fitt Kft., while Szűcs-Bálint Andrea, managing director of Infinisweet Kft., provides us with all kinds of treats cleanly, allergen-free, without compromise.
 

Who enriches with exclusive ready meals

– I am responsible for the Sliced-Ready Meal and Bistro categories – introduces Turgyán Renáta. – In my work, I am proud that we can work with restaurants that bring value, uniqueness, and exclusivity to the kifli.hu selection. It is especially important to me that all our customers are satisfied with the products, so we often participate in the product development of premium meals. We are currently preparing a huge novelty: we are delivering the favorite dishes of our nation's female pride, Katinka Hosszú, to our customers' homes under the brand name Koool, which she distributes. These are healthy, colorful, nutritious, and moreover, free from everything.
