A major player in the chocolate bar market, Tibi chocolate has been present on the Hungarian market for more than 70 years. Chocolate lovers could first take the sweets off the shelves of shops in 1941, the Tibi chocolate that is still well-known and popular today – which was named after the grandson of the founder of the factory. The ribbed chocolate, primarily intended for children, was available in 2.5 and 5 dkg packages, which were advertised with “Tibi is not only mom’s favourite” posters. Thanks to the wide-ranging advertising activity, the brand, which was becoming increasingly popular among adults both nationwide and abroad, soon had to modify its original advertising slogan to “Tibi is not only children’s favourite”. After nationalisation, Tibi was one of the few products that has remained in the product range of Bonbonetti Kft. to this day.

Over the past 70 years, the shape and packaging of Tibi has changed a lot, and the range has been expanded with many new products, as a result of which it has become one of the most popular chocolate brands. For example, with the chocolate bars produced in 1 year, 15 standard football pitches could be covered, or a tower could be built from the bars stacked on top of each other that would reach the top of Mount Everest.
