Azalea is a very showy indoor plant that is available almost all year round. Many people find it difficult to care for, but it is worth the effort, as the profusely flowering plant will reward you for all your efforts.
Place it in a bright but not sunny place, as it will not flower in the dark. In a warm room, where the soil dries out quickly, it is worth dipping the pot in a bucket of lukewarm water several times a week so that it can absorb plenty of moisture.
The purchased plant must always be repotted in order for it to survive in the home in the long term. We recommend repotting it into a larger pot or box so that it feels comfortable in the heated home and does not wilt. It is important not to forget to spray it (with water)!
Interesting fact
Azaleas are frost-sensitive ornamental shrubs belonging to the rhododendron genus, which have been very popular for a long time. Most azaleas originate from North America or East Asia, with the former being deciduous and the latter mostly evergreen.
Use
Azaleas are shade-loving plants that thrive best in semi-shade, under trees with looser canopies. They have quite high water requirements, so try to keep their soil constantly moist.
Find a cool, bright place for it, but be sure to protect it from the scorching sun, as it can burn its leaves. It likes air with high humidity, so it is a good idea to spray its leaves from time to time. Remove wilted flowers from the plant and the soil as soon as possible. The best time for repotting is early spring or early autumn, when the weather is cooler.
Storage
Store between 16-20°C.
