Producer information

Following in his father's footsteps and family traditions, Giuliano Bortolomiol, blessed with the natural gift of winemaking, decided to enroll in the prestigious Conegliano School of Oenology while still a young man.

In the years immediately following the Second World War, the sight of abandoned vineyards awakened in him an awareness of his mission: the rebirth of the vineyards, and above all the determination to enhance both the quality and reputation of Prosecco. His dream was to elevate Prosecco from a local product with modest expectations to a prestigious sparkling wine known worldwide. Today, this dream has come true, and Prosecco Superiore, having acquired the Doc designation, has become an internationally recognized sparkling wine.

In 1946 he was among the founders of the Confraternita del Prosecco (Prosecco Wine Brotherhood) and later of the Mostra dello Spumante (Sparkling Wine Exhibition) (now the Forum Spumanti d’Italia). Giuliano Bortolomiol was also a master of the Martinotti-Charmat method and, as a great, intuitive experimenter, he was the first to create Prosecco Brut.
