Producer information
The history of Coors dates back more than 150 years, to 1873, when Adolph Coors set off for Denver, Colorado, to find the perfect conditions for brewing beer. Inspired by the seemingly inhospitable surroundings of the Rocky Mountains, the young brewer decided to settle right next to an icy cold, crystal clear stream at an altitude of 1670 meters, as it was an ideal location not only to build a brewery, but also to brew a crisp, cold lager. The brewery still stands today in Golden, Colorado, and generations of the Coors family continue the tradition of brewing beer.
