To make this sparkling wine, the Glera grapes are gently pressed, and the must is fermented without the skin; the base wine is then re-fermented in a tank using the Charmat method. This well-structured Prosecco sparkling wine stands out with its bright, straw-coloured hue and its pronounced yet stylish effervescence. Its aroma is dominated by apple, while its flavour combines aromas reminiscent of honey, black liquorice and acacia blossom. It is also extremely versatile in terms of food pairing; this sparkling wine loves vegetables, minestrone soup, mushrooms, grilled fish and almost any fish-based dish.

On 1 August 1882, József Törley registered his business under the name József Törley and Company with the Budapest Commercial Court. The history of Törley sparkling wines thus goes back almost a century and a half. Open to new ideas, Törley continuously developed his factory and the technology of sparkling wine production – for example, he was the first in Hungary to introduce the process of disgorging (degorgement) by freezing. Thanks to this, his plant became the most modern sparkling wine factory in the country by the turn of the century. In the following decades, the reputation and flavour of Törley were already known from America to Australia, and the factory had depots in Hamburg, Berlin and Copenhagen. The greatest recognition, however, was that Törley was already being drunk in Paris at that time.
