Mirinda was originally produced in Spain. In the United States, bilingual packaging became available in late 2003 – since 2005, Mirinda flavors have been sold largely under the Tropicana Twister Soda brand name in the United States. The name Mirinda may come from Esperanto, meaning "admirable". The brand, which was created in 1953, is now available in orange, citrus, grapefruit, apple, strawberry, raspberry, pineapple, pomegranate, banana, passion fruit, lemon, hibiscus, guarana, mandarin, pear, watermelon and grape flavors, as well as tamarind flavors.
