The spider plant or Chlorophytum comosum is a plant belonging to the lily family, originating from South Africa. It is extremely popular in our country due to its easy care. It decorates our homes with its elongated, longitudinally striped, drooping leaves. It is a truly excellent plant, as it is capable of reducing the amount of toxic substances in the air. It not only fights carbon dioxide but also reduces the amount of formaldehyde, which can enter the air, for example, from the binding agents in furniture.

The spider plant is a resilient plant. A true survivor, water it once a week.

Interesting Fact

The spider plant is also included in the NASA Clean Air Study, in which researchers examined the effect of plants on the air in a given room. According to the report, the spider plant is capable of removing 95 percent of toxic compounds from the air within 24 hours (when examined in a sealed plexiglass chamber). 

The purchased plant must always be repotted to ensure its long-term survival indoors. We recommend repotting them into a larger pot or container so that they feel good in a heated apartment and do not wilt. It is important not to forget to mist them (with water)!

Storage

Store between 18-20 °C, in a bright place.
