Producer information

The vineyards of Hilltop are home to the wonderful Upper Pannonian wine region. It is wonderful because the cultural diversity of the region's settlements and the variety of the landscape make the area a real treasure chest.

The wine region, which stretches on the slopes and hills of the Vértes, Buda, Gerecse, Kőszeg, Sopron mountains and the Velence and Pannonhalma hills, is linked by the cooler character of the climate and the lively wines rich in acids. Its climate is also shaped by the oceanic, wetter and cooler air currents arriving from the north and the southern Mediterranean influences, so there is much more white grape here than blue grape, in accordance with the weather conditions. Since the wine region is relatively large (stretching from Budapest to the western border of the country), the cultivated grape varieties are also very diverse, from Kékfrankos to Ezerjó to Chardonnay.
