In the case of Berger, good is actually close at hand. In fact, very close. Because the animals for our products are only raised by the currently 43 selected Austrian farmers in Sieghartskirchen, within a radius of up to 50 kilometres.

As entrepreneurs with heart and soul, it is important to us to make decisions with heart and soul. With this in mind, we founded the Berger animal welfare initiative in 2015. The focus is on developing guidelines for improving animal welfare. Our aim is to improve the living conditions of pigs on our partner farms. This includes a functioning health management system, an animal-friendly environment - such as improving the climate in the stables - and compliance with basic animal ethics rules. This is what we mean by responsible business.
