Patient information Please read this information carefully before you start using the product! What do you need to know about Curiosa gel? Curiosa gel is a colorless, odorless, transparent gel that does not stain the skin or clothing. Its main component is zinc hyaluronate, and as excipients it contains potassium sorbate (preservative) and carbomer (gelling agent), its microbiological purity complies with the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia. Hyaluronate is a natural and essential component of the skin, promotes regeneration and provides a suitable environment for wound healing. Its complex with zinc, zinc hyaluronate, provides additional benefits: it inhibits the entry of microorganisms causing wound infection into the wound, helps to reduce inflammation and pain, thus contributing to faster wound healing. With Curiosa gel, you can restore the integrity of your skin and eliminate the traces of the injury. How to use Curiosa gel? For external use only! Minor skin injuries (abrasions, cuts): Thoroughly clean the affected body surface, soak up the moisture, and wait until the bleeding stops. Apply a thin layer (approx. 1 mm) of Curiosa gel to the entire wound surface. Wound treatment should only be performed with clean hands, and make sure that the tube does not come into direct contact with the wound! It is generally not necessary to apply a dressing. If you still want to cover the injury, only apply the dressing after the gel has dried. The treatment can be repeated several times a day if necessary. First and second degree burns: Immediately cool the injured skin surface under cold running water and use Curiosa gel as described above. More severe, long-standing skin defects (e.g. skin ulcers of various origins, bedsores, other chronic wounds): In these cases, the use of Curiosa gel is recommended under the supervision of a healthcare professional experienced in wound care. In addition to wound treatment, it is also necessary to treat the underlying disease causing the symptoms and to follow the advice on complementary therapies (e.g. use of bandages, orthopedic shoes, blood sugar monitoring, moving the bedridden patient). Before using Curiosa gel, it is important to thoroughly clean the wound, which in more severe cases can only be done by a specialist. After proper preparation of the wound bed, the gel should be applied as described above. What are the possible side effects of Curiosa gel and what to do if they occur? At the beginning of the treatment, burning sensation, wound pain, skin redness may occur, which usually disappears within a short time and does not justify the suspension of the use of the product. If an unexpected, previously unexperienced symptom occurs during the use of the product, or if the wound becomes inflamed, infected, does not show the first signs of healing after a few days, consult a specialist. In clinical trials, minor, localized tissue damage occurred very rarely in seriously ill patients, in which cases the causal relationship between the use of the product and the appearance of the symptom was not clear. When should Curiosa gel not be used? In case of hypersensitivity to any component of the product or to proteins of Avies (in this case cockscomb) origin. Other information: Store at room temperature. Check the integrity of the packaging before use, close the cap carefully after use. It is recommended to use a separate tube for each person.
