The primary use for sauces is basting meats during grilling, but preparations containing tomato and sugar can easily brown, so only use them at the very end, or thin them with water, apple juice, beer, or white wine. Do not brown them, as the taste will become bitter; just dry them out.

The BBQUE brand combines international BBQ trends with homemade flavors. Developed in 2011 by two enthusiastic grill experts in Bavaria, BBQUE sauces are characterized by a particularly exciting and balanced aroma combination: Strong, smoky flavors, as well as popular local ingredients such as cranberries, beer, or honey, give the sauces a "homemade" character. Compared to other barbecue sauces made from lower-quality components, it primarily differs in that those consist merely of a tomato paste base, sugar, water, and vinegar flavors and spices.
