Producer information

Péter Varga started working in the Badacsonyörs winery on January 4, 1993, with his wife and parents. Today, he works with his two sons and hopes that they will later continue the winery with their grandchildren. In the past 20 years, Hungarian winemaking has fundamentally renewed professionally and technologically, and the quality of wines has reached Western European standards. In parallel, consumer demand has also developed and changed significantly. Today, people are less likely to drink wines and more likely to taste them; they are looking for something interesting and special. They no longer only drink wines from nearby wine regions, but also have the opportunity to get acquainted with the wine offerings of the country, Europe, and even the whole world. Therefore, it is not enough to simply make beautiful, balanced wines; there is a need for wines that leave an impression on the consumer, that they remember and will choose again from the thousands of available options.
